Truth Serum

Mt 24:19 "And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!"

The Truth (serum)?

We and I mean all of us exist within this earth among those who would pervert good and moral judgments. Sadly the society in which we cohabit is not only in decline, but utterly devastated. Mostly living in and outside of the box totally confused but yet accepting the reality of things that seems impossible to change. And for good reason; you cannot change people's hearts. Only God can do that. And what is worse, is that people are not wanting God to change them. All that's left now amongst the inhabitants of earth is those of the world remain in rebellion, reprobate- for ever lost. What's the pinnacle of this? We, those still faithful for time, must remain here until the Lord Jesus returns.

But let's explore just what "moral decay" is and how we and many others have defined it so that you can better cope with those around you who not only are morally decayed, but enjoy their circumstances, even to the point of defending their lifestyle and choices against you.

What is moral decay in society?

"Moral decay" is a term used to describe the decline or fall of the moral values of a civilization. This concept, which is sometimes called decadence, is most often illustrated by the decline of the Roman Empire due to malaise and loss of civic virtue.

Merriam-Webster defines decadence as "behavior that shows low morals and a great love of pleasure, money, fame, etc." This can be seen in individuals and societies as a pattern of abandoning previously held beliefs and values. Several scholars blame decadent behaviors and corrupt morals for the decline of the Roman Empire, but this is by no means an established fact.

Moral decay is a relative concept, as it is predicated on a set of morals that may be different depending on the society in question. As of 2014, there are some who feel that the current state of affairs in the world is indicative of moral decay. This is debatable, since there is no way to directly measure the effect that specific moral codes have on the world as a whole and how changes in those moral codes affect society on a global level.

What is ideal culture?

Ideal culture refers to the idealized system of norms and values that a society claims to believe. The ideal culture exists in tandem with the real culture, which involves the actual values and norms followed by a society. Ideal culture contains the standards that a society tries to live up to.

The values in an ideal culture are absolute and without exception. On a day-to-day basis, though, exceptions are made to the ideal values. There is a gap, then, between the ideal culture that a society says it has and believes in and the real culture that a society actually follows.

For example, the culture of the United States professes to value equality. However, examples of inequality are found all around. Another example is how marriage is perceived in American ideal culture. Ideally, marriage is a union of romantic love, monogamous and lifelong. In practice, though, exceptions are made. Not all marriages are based on notions of love, and not all marriages remain monogamous. More significantly, not all marriages are lifelong. The ideal value of marriage as a lifelong commitment is not followed. In real culture, exceptions to this ideal are made, as divorces are not only permissible, but commonplace.

What is the difference between values and norms?

The difference between values and norms is that the former are abstract thoughts while the latter are external actions. In sociology, a culture's values relate to commonly held beliefs about what is considered desirable and proper, while cultural norms are the established behaviors that reflect those values.

Values are the collective conception of what a societal group thinks is morally right and good. Norms are the generally established standards of behavior maintained by a society. Sets of values and norms often exist in contradiction to other values and norms within a society. There are also frequent discrepancies between what a society claims to value and believe and what actually occurs. The values that a society would like to follow represent part of what sociologists term an "ideal culture." The norms of behavior that represent how people actually act are part of "real culture."

Norms are classified as either formal or informal. This means that sets of socially accepted behaviors are either established as written rules or are more casual but prevalent ways to behave. A country's laws are an example of a formal norm. Folkways and traditional mores are examples of informal norms. Folkways are not morally significant and do not often attract punishment if broken. Mores include a moral component , and most people take offense when a more is broken, often leading to social punishment of the transgressor in some form.

Has Society decayed so much that there is no turning back?

I believe so. 2 Peter 3 sheds some light on things in these last days:

1 "This second epistle, beloved, I now write unto you; in both which I stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance: 2 That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Saviour: 3 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, 4 And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation. 5 For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: 6 Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: 7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. "

2 Timothy 4:3

“For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;”

2 Timothy 4:4

“And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.”

That time has come....................

Truth is eternal; existent with God..........Changeless and fixed as a measuring rod; grounded in equity, fitness and right....nothing can conquer it's infinite might.

Falsehood and error in darkness may reign, duping the people with reasonings vain; yet when the cycle floods in with Light, truth stands the victor in garments of white.

Truth never changes; forever the same; though false assumptions would tarnish her fame; investigation with unbiased mind, clear for the truth vindication shall find.

Human opinions, in science and art, change with tomorrow as knowledge-in-part; Truth only waits for the eye to behold what through ages has sought forever be told.

Truth is immortal, it never shall die;  Light for the error and death for the lie; Truth is a light shining clear as the sun. Proving the right, showing error to shun.

Truth is in Christ; revealed clear and plain, living in Him without blemish or stain......He is the truth amid doubt and the strife: "I am the Way, and the Truth, and the Life."

The following is censored/modified by me for decency:

“They screw you up, your mum and dad.

They may not mean to, but they do.

They fill you with the faults they had

And add some extra, just for you.

But they were screwed up in their turn

By fools in old-style hats and coats,

Who half the time were soppy-stern

And half at one another's throats.

Man hands on misery to man.

It deepens like a coastal shelf.

Get out as early as you can,

And don't have any kids yourself.”

― Philip Larkin

For all those mother's and father's who have left good standards, and lost their minds. Those of you who grew up in not so loving conditions. Take head. Evil begats evil, but good begats good. If you are not the ideal parent, stop having kids and quit being assholes. The world is full of them. Be your own thing; stop listening and following the ways of the world...it's producing more people like you and we can sure loose a lot of people like you. So, if you're a parent and think....you are doing right by your kid, think again.
